Ceramic or tooth-coloured braces are similar to metal braces except that the material they are made from is clear meaning that they are a discreet alternative to metal brackets.
Ceramic clear braces tend to be more brittle than their metal counterparts and as a result they are not suitable for the lower teeth when there is a deep bite present. They tend to be very popular with adult patients as they are more aesthetic and less visible than conventional metal brackets.
